A New Year bash at the Border!

It's not as intense as it sound guys! I'm at the USA - CANADA international border at Niagara falls. I wish all borders look so peaceful and serene around the world where people can come together without any fear or doubt to enjoy the scenic beauty of nature. Celebrating New year at Niagara Falls is a great option as it is so lively and fun filled place surrounded by the great falls. The falls looks magnificient at any given day but the special fireworks happening on the New Year Eve makes it extra splendid. Some of the major activities to do here are listed below.

Niagara Falls

This one is a no brainer! The Niagara Water Falls is famous world wide for his magnificence. It's scenic beauty is something you'll always remember. It's a great sight to see at day as well as night. I will suggest getting a glimpse at both times as it's a completely different experience. The falls are lighted in beautiful colours and fireworks happen at midnight on new years eve.

Clifton Hill

My favourite thing to do here is to enjoy a stroll at the Clifton Hill. This area is so cute, bubbly and full of life. There are so many activities for children and adults to enjoy ranging from ferris wheel, haunted houses, Ripley's Believe It or Not, Upside Down House and many more. It is a paradise for foodies as well since there are so many great options for restaurants serving Italian, Indian, Chinese and other cuisines from around the world. Some of my all time favourites are Hard Rock Cafe, Rainforest Cafe, Kelseys Original Roadhouse, Boston Pizza and Antica Pizzeria & Ristorante to name a few. The lights jazz up the place to another level and it is a sight which is not so common. You can escape the city and still be in a different downtown.

Another fun thing to do here is to check out the Casinos! Maybe bet a bit for New Year luck! Fallsview Casino and Casino Niagara are the two grand casinos in the area. You'll love the ambience here and there are many more things you can do here apart from betting such as shopping, dining and simply having a good time!

Niagara Winter Festival of Lights

This is a cherry on top experience if you visit Niagara in winters. The Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights is an illumination festival happening till January 31. You can witness amazingly decked up light installations. This looks so strikingly picturesque. Since it is run by a Non profit Organization, you are encouraged to pay as you like at the end.
