Toronto Christmas Market - A must to do activity for the holidays!
December is almost over and I finally got the chance to visit one of the best Christmas Markets in North America - Toronto Christmas Market at the Distillery District.
The Christmas market runs from Nov. 15 until Dec. 23. It is open Tuesday to Sunday from noon (except Saturdays and Sundays — it starts early from 10 a.m.) until 9 p.m. (except on Friday and Saturday when it closes at 10 p.m.)
There’s a $6-admission fee on weekends, starting at 5 p.m. on Fridays.
The market is decorated with beautiful Christmas themed decorations. There are several photo ops in the entire area. JOY FAMILY LOVE SHOP are some of the great message displays apt for the market.
The most popular attraction is definitely the 50 foot Christmas tree which is decorated with over 40,000 lights, 800 ornaments and almost 2 kms of golden ribbon.
One of the main reasons this market is so popular is food. There are so many Christmas shops offering mouth watering delicacies. Enormous pretzels were the favourite among all.
The strings of lights covering the market looks spectacular and magical. The old, rusted look of the Distillery District simply adds the charm to the market in general.
This angel chair is perfect for the NICE list of SANTA! If you've been good this year, definitely get yourself the perfect picture here!
The mandatory photo at the heart sign in Distillery District adds a notch by the sign of LOVE cubes. There's a line up for this!
The market also boosts of these amazing and unique snow mans you've ever seen. This new take on the snow man is so artistically beautiful.
What Christmas market would be complete without some rides? The market offers Carousel, ferris wheel and other rides for children. Also, there is Santa photo booth for kids to enjoy and get clicked for some Christmas photos.
My favourite photo op in the entire market is this display of gold ornaments which perfectly matched my gold sweater for an amazing Instagram post!
3 days are left before this market bids a goodbye for this year. If you've not visited this cutest market in Toronto, its now or never. Go ahead and immerse in the spirit of Christmas.
